Is there an axe murderer among us?

We have a similar one also from a cheese set but ours is very cheap and I do mean very! Nice and shiny but I swear I can work a plastic knife edge to be sharper and hold better than that dull dinky cleaver. Dont know why I even keep it, it’s on a shelf in the basement. Only used to use it to open bags of salt for a water softener we no longer have. I miss the softener the wife… not so much. Paul

A nice woman gave me for Easter a large, lovely cheese board that had this absurdly small cleaver attached for cutting the cheese I suppose. But it is cute, and so I did find a use for it....(grin). Traveller

I know nothing about Trotsky in fact prior to this entry not sure I remember hearing that name before.

Ok Trotsky I know nothing about but I do know a thing or two about scene and lighting setups and you’ve done very well. Reflection and soft shadow were a nice touch. I would have been tempted to spritz it with water (off camera). I like it a lot and count on my vote. Paul

Thank you for the extra images from the Spy Museum....those were great...I will have to look up again and see why, (I've forgotten), Stalin had him killed, (specific reason). Thanks again, Traveller

This is great. But, if you really want to evoke Trotsky, you should have used an ice pick. I've put a couple of pictures of the actual weapon that killed Trotsky in Pending. It's on display in Washington's International Spy Museum (I'll definitely visit the next time we're visiting our son in Bethesda).

Striking, captures me, minimalism - like.
Simply excellent work - among your best. Maybe your best.
