10 Time for Cricket

Boulder, CO

This is a clock that my son made me for Father's Day twenty years ago. I found it in a box, and replaced the battery. The second hand moves in discreet clicks every second, so you should be able to count the number of seconds in this exposure.

I went back to the image, and took the background down another stop, and took the background highlights down too, so it should now be just black.

Yes, I might try taking the background down some more. I used LR's new masking tool to select the clock, then inverted the mask, and reduced background exposure by 3 stops. I suppose I could go further, or just erase the background altogether.

I like the photo, but the background is a bit distracting.

I wasn't still playing by then. I actually played more in graduate school in Syracuse than growing up in England, but I've always been a big cricket fan. My younger brother is a professional cricket commentator for the BBC.

Nice capture of an interesting subject. I find myself studying the multiple figures.

Again, something super cool from you....both photographically and emotionally as a memory run. This is better than good....Traveller
