07 Two Trees on a Hill

Groton, Massachusetts

One tree is changing to its fall colors, the other is still green.

This might seem like merged subjects, the two trees are next to each other in a middle of a pasture. There was no merging involved.

I was able to get a picture from the other side of the tree on the left. Although I was no closer, some of its leaves were silhouetted against the sky. At 100% magnification, it is clear that the tree on the left is, indeed, an oak tree. The reason that I could not get any closer is in Pending (https://pbase.com/cichallenge/image/171144548) aglake

The tree on the left might be an oak; they are still green now. However, I'm not going to go find out. The pasture is surrounded by a fence with signs that say: "My bull can cross this field in 3.2 seconds. Can you?" aglake

Nice effective entry! After studying this the tree on the left could be a different type of tree, it's clearly larger and further away on the back side of a hill/ridge than the tree on the right. Paul
