Thanks all. When I saw the topic, I had this crazy thought to transition from B&W to Color. I first tried it Photoshop, but couldn't create a proper mask. So I went back to Lightroom.
In LR, there is a tool called "graduated filter". It lets you place a graduated filter across a photo and then vary multiple parameters. Most of the time I use it for skies or uneven lighting by adjusting exposure and shadows. This time I only varied the color saturation across the photo from 0 to 100%.
I chose this photo as it is a pano and really shows off the gradual transition well.

Paul - Sedona is a little over a 4 hour drive from Green Valley. We needed a break from just staying around home, so we went up for 2 days at a nice B&B. Home on Weds.

This is up by Flagstaff, you travelled some distance to get there. I’m guessing at least 4 hours. Of your two entries from this location this one is my favorite, love the slow smooth transition of a excellent pano.

Very very nice! Heads up Mr. T putting you on notice of a coin toss. Paul

I am not sure this is the best image for this technique...but I think it has great promise. As seemingly always, I ask, how did you do this...lol...pixel magician you!
