My brother is 30 months younger than I am, and we are worlds apart. He sends me a Facebook message when he wants to talk. He retired young and has lots of time on his hands to do all the things he wants. He sometimes shares photos from his mountain lair but mostly pontificates about politics. I'd hang up on him too in those circumstances. Dave

I abruptly hung up on him again yesterday, Saturday...Damn...I made a 3 hr run (read drive) to La Jolla for the last day of Summer...to me, not the formal one on September 23...he wanted to talk...I had to hike across the park, though a bizarre low inversion fog layer and throw myself into 65 degree ocean water...no one was swimming in the marine Sanctuary except me...oddly not even people with light wet suits...I always swim and snorkel bare skin...that turned purple...lol I digress, it was getting dark, the sun sets quickly, I had to go...the fish and sea lions and swaying sea grass was waiting...(no sharks) (my brother an I are very, very close, but he is 21 years my junior...I am getting close to dying, being past my use by date....I have things to do...he, fortunately, is less urgent with his compulsions, so I hung up on him again...sigh) Also, interestingly, my x wife skyped me from London and we had a great time showing her the Pacific etc...Michael and I have never been able to get skype working...another oddness. No thought of turning your call into a video communication and sharing the sunset with your brother momentarily before hanging up? I wouldn't have, either. Hope he forgave you. Dave

Dave, my brother way back East was on the phone with me when I pulled into a three story parking structure at the beach....I said I love you like a brother, but I'm going to see the sunset and be a part of life...bye...and I hung up on him somewhat abruptly. So I shot this image as to Why for him. Traveller
