Dear Paul: There's no problem in making me feel badly...in fact as an artist, I'm not sure you are permitted to take this into consideration...when out today, I thought maybe if the bullet were angled down to 45 degrees facing the viewer...then the queezy factor might really go up exponentially...shriek....lol
Mr. T that bullet would certainly be one to fear, military 45-70. I thought it might be kind of appropriate considering he was trained as a B17 gunner as can be seen on his wings. Have no idea where my father got the bullet but he was a gun and ammunition collector.
If it would make you feel better can replace it with one I shot one with a P-38 instead of the bullet. One of those suckers should bring back fond daily memories, after all what GI didn’t have toilet paper and a P-38 with him at all times. Paul
And it really was Hell...happy and invigorating and terrifying and lingers forever.
This is a lovely tribute, for you, for me it is frightening (just trying to be honest here).
Best Wishes, Traveller
PS for reasons known and unknown....I immediately focus on the bullet...go figure. I wonder how other combat vets might respond? Again, lovely work by and for a general audience. Hummmm
