After further reflection, I do not believe this was shot at ISO 8,000 after all. That's the figure that PBase pulled from the image's EXIF data, but I don't think it is correct. After reading some different articles on the iPhone 6+ it doesn't appear that it's capable of ISO 8,000 ... so, I can only conclude that somehow PBase misread the EXIF data. Sorry for the misinformation. I thought that was too good to be true! - Ken

Thanks again, Paul. Straight out of the phone, the shadows in this image were a bit too dark, so I used Photoshop to open them up a little. The image stood up remarkably well, I thought. There was some usable dynamic range in the iPhone image ... more than I expected. Oh ... and did you notice this is ISO 8,000? - Ken

Even then this still has what I would call the classic Ken look, right angle, right content, perfect lighting and of course great detail. Paul

Thanks, guys. I appreciate the kind words. Paul, as for the iPhone ... I really like it. As for image quality, it will not take the place of a "real" camera, but at least it's almost always with me. When I spotted this "discussion" between the dogs, I didn't have another camera with me. If I had taken the time to go get a camera, this would have been over with by the time I got back. So, I guess the old saying that "the best camera is the one you have with you at the time" holds in this case. - Ken

now seriously, this is...exactly what I am looking for for...a great normal picture...and yet not normal at all. I mean, seriously, fabulous.

Still out of town, Traveller....but loving this first entry!
