i like the long reach this camera offers. i can no longer carry heavy equipment around so this fits the bill. i think if a tripod was used more often w it, it would be even better in lower lighting. i do have a gitzo light weight tripod so there is no excuse except laziness when it comes to using it. shu ps: a couple of problems w the fugi is the zoom barrel is manual and rides quite roughly. also the incamera flash must be turned on when using the camera in low lighting. it is not automatic, so you really have to think when shooting "do i need the assistance of a flash?" of course there are many modes that help w this situatiion, but all and all, it's ok. there is nothing like a good quality digital slr, however. (sigh)
