Wow, thanks everyone for the kind comments! A wedding photograph recently published by photographer Cliff Mautner inspired me to try this shot, as well as try and get a decent b&w rendition on my own. Looking back, I may have tried to over expose some more, but after some trial and error (a few trials and errors I might add), I did the majority of the pp in LR (B&W conversion with exposure, highlights and shadow work), and then worked on a little burning and dodging in PS. We also used a little lengthening mascara just to define the lashes. :) Overall I only took like 5 shots as we we had plans for shopping. Done in natural light to the right, makeshift white sheet for the background. I'll be trying this shot a few more times to get the "best" settings. I have a wedding coming up this year that I'll be shooting and want to get this type of photo in my "to do" shot list. Tripod on a timer, standing rather high for this composition. Again, thanks for all the wonderful comments!!! I will get this printed, as it is one my favs so far this year. I do not do my own printing, so that will be someone else's headache !! jano

Just a quick followup re: -Techo

I was a pressman in a former life. This image would me a nightmare to print, but I sure would love to see it done.

You're a force to be reckoned with , come this challenge's voting session ;) You're just unstoppable this round. This is lovely! Quickly print it and frame it. This needs to be out there and not just in the digital world.

Too good. Brilliant work. I'd love to know more about how you lit it and how you processed the image. Outstanding.
