Top End Wetlands

Somewhere to put the misc images of some billabongs and other wetland nature parks we encountered in the Northern Territory Top End.
In northern Australia the term billabong is used for permanent waterholes which have been cut off from the main channels in the dry
season but reconnected when rivers flood during the Wet season.

Unbeknowns we actually travelled what is called Nature's Way Drive (Darwin - Adelaide River - Mary River - Jabiru in Kakadu - Pine Creek
- Katherine - Nitmiluk). The places in these photos are all accessed along/from the Arnhem Highway travelling from Darwin <> Kakadu.
(except for Tumbling Waters which is at Berry Springs west of Darwin)
