If it wasn't for a couple of birders who we met at Eden and then bumped into again at Mary River Park we
might have missed this pretty spot! The secluded Leaning Tree Lagoon Nature Park is located about 90km
east of Darwin via the Arnhem Highway and I can see it being a perfect spot for picnics, birding or
just snoozing in the car! There was nobody else there when we were there so of course we could exclaim
"How's the serenity?" as you do! (quote: Daryl Kerrigan, The Castle, 1997)
