Despite Queensland having a good concentration of wildlife, I found the 'birding' as challenging as anywhere
else. Time constraints meant that we often didn't have the luxury of staking out or exploring bird 'hotspots'
for extended periods or enjoy repeat visits. We simply had to make do with what we came across regardless
of time of day. Sometimes this had me out in the middle of the day, or in the midst of dark rainforest with
insufficient light for pictures. Not ideal situations but given that I had not been out birding' for 6 months
we found the trip to be full of many interesting wildlife experiences and sightings!
