Rottnest Island - a relaxed car-free island with pretty beaches and furry little quokkas

Rottnest Island is approx 30 mins ferry ride from Fremantle (south of Perth) in Western Australia.
The island's name comes from the Dutch words rattennest meaning "rat nest". We took advantage
of the Telethon Tuesday deal for a more affordable day trip to rotto on the Rottnest Express.
