Penguin Island is near Rockingham, approx 45 minutes south of Perth in Western Australia.
Part of the Shoalwater Islands Marine Park, it is only a short ferry ride from the mainland
and home to numerous species of wild birds including Little Penguins, pelicans, gulls, terns.
A network of timber boardwalks on Penguin Island allows visitors to explore secluded beaches,
enjoy the coastal scenery and view some of the wildlife.
Taking a glass bottom boat cruise through this marine park enabled as to view
Australian Sea Lions at the nearby Seal Island, playful dolphins and enjoy some
different views of the surrounding islands. A great day trip for nature lovers.
