Our South Pacific cruise
Lifou (Drehu), Loyalty Islands, New Caledonia

Lifou was our first tender stop and being keen first time cruisers made sure we got early tender boat tickets to make a full day of it.
My research on 'places to visit on Lifou' was a somewhat wasted effort (on arrival they didn't have private drivers or tours going to the
places I wanted to visit - no taxis etc). Our sightseeing opportunities were very limited but opted to take a 2 hour 'non-swimming' tour
that atleast included a quick stop to view pretty Luecila Beach.

At the Easo Beach area cruise ship passengers were catered to with market stalls, local foods, coconut drinks, massages, hair braiding
and being entertained by traditional singing and dancing. A wander around the local area gave us various glimpses of island life.
