The Alabama Jazz and Blues Federation brings River Jam to Montgomery, Alabama each year. It is one of my favorite musical events in the area.

The artists are always great and there is enough variety to satisfy most anyone's taste. It's not so big that it wears you out. It is always in September, so the weather has cooled down somewhat. It is held under the historic Union Station Train Shed so, in the event of rain, I get to stay dry.

That all adds up to a great time.
