Around the Islands

These are a few images from the many locations we visited, along with some images of our main mode of transportation. The scenery not only varies from one island to the next, but also changes dramatically with elevation on the larger islands. Since the islands are volcanic, one can see many lava landscapes, but surprisingly there is much tropical vegetation especially in the upper elevations on the higher islands where clouds provide moisture during the dry season.
