Marine Life

While most of our tour and photography was on land, we also had many opportunities to snorkel around the islands. Mostly, the water was in the 70's F., although in one place it felt much colder. We wore full wetsuits always, which afforded sun protection as well thermal protection. The highlight of our snorkeling experience was having the sea lions interact with us underwater. They were very curious and playful. In some cases, we also observed interesting sea life (turtles, rays, and sharks) from the pangas, especially in a couple of protected mangrove lagoons.
