As one of Dallas's first commercial districts for African-Americans and European Immigrants, Deep Ellum is one of the most historically and culturally significant neighborhoods in the city.
Today it is composed largely of arts, restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues in East Dallas.
I didn't get to spend much time there.
I went to photograph the sculptures in the previous photos and passed by this fun mural on the front of the Velvet Taco Restaurant.
