DSC_6799.jpg

This shot was not set up in any way. Real, very live fly, sitting on a split piece of wood in a state park in New Jersey. Big fly...not sure what type. He's the same one as seen in the "Exhaust Port" shot. Great model, turned around for me and everything. This was shot with the Sigma 105 along with 60mm of Kenko extension. Lighting was via sb-800 and a Lumiquest Softbox.
This shot IS a crop, about 50%, but still makes a lovely 5x7.
Comments welcome.

Excellent macro, sharp, with lots of details. I like Softbox, but I found that pocket bouncer is even better. You might give it a try. GMV

I'm captivated by the eyes! This is so sharp. It don't suppose flies stay still long enough for easy shots, so congrats on this shot!
