I was walking back home, from the "fire watchers" scene..

That is Nordhoff Street's western end and terminus at the
Chatsworth Reservoir. This shot is just north of Nordhoff on
Topanga Canyon Boulevard... just a block north of here is
Plummer Street, where so many of the TV newtwork crews were
broadcasting from.. That is where you turn to go to my house..
This particular view is Senior Citizen housing (apartments)..

In the rear there is a portion of my beloved Shadow Mountain..
It was spared..the fire is still hungry and now it is 106 degrees..

Fortunately, for me, the wind kept the fire from turning towards us...
It travelled and is still travelling southerly..reaching now from
the 118 Freeway to the 101... There is much wilderness and the terrain
is not as full of boulders as the Santa Susanna Mountains that are so
close to me. I didn't think there was anything to burn..
My pic "supersize my sky" was shot from the Woolsey Canyon road..
if you watched the news, that should sound very familiar... I haven't
heard today, but I believe most of the homes there did pretty good.
Box Canyon is a steep narrow area between Chatsworth and Simi Valley,
where there is a density of homes and just one road running through it.
People did loose homes there.

Pierce College has over 200 horses..which they have taken in due to evacuation..They even have Llamas, Alpacas, turtles and pot belly pigs..plus people's dogs and cats.. God Bless them all...
