This is Imre Otvos, a research scientist with the Canadian Forest Service. He successfully controlled the larch case bearer in British Columbia and winter moth on Vancouver Island, both introduced species. He kindly posed with a Douglas-fir Tussock Caterpillar in a greenhouse where he studies them for one of my photojournalism assignments. We had to take an environmental portrait of someone we don't know. Many thanks to my friend Bernadette who set the whole thing up.
