To get to this area, we went out the pass between Indian Pass and St. Vincent Island. We only bottomed out 2 or 3 times :-). These ledges are in 90 feet of water. We saw a lot of marine life that we don't see while diving the artificial reefs. We also saw lots of sharks on the bottom and on our safety stop. On the safety stop I had a few shovelnose lobsters in my goody bag. They got a little inpatient and started flipping around. That's when we saw the sharks start circling below. Bob decided it would be a good idea to toss the lobsters onto the boat, so he handed me his camera and took the goody bag. So here I am hanging on the safety line and two cameras, when I see the toothy grins of not one, but two bull sharks heading staight at me. I didn't know whether to be mad at Bob for leaving me behind as shark bait, or mad because I didn't have a free hand to take a photo. Or did I love my husband for thinking of my safety and taking the lobster bag from me? I think we all know I was madder about not being able to get the photo!
