At any rate, it's odd that there were two species that existed apparently millions of years apart, with one being nearly half the size of the older species. What if the epoch that Hemisyntrachelus occupied was significantly longer than previously estimated, and the one that was stated to be H. Cortesii was perhaps a juvenile? Again, and information to clear up any misunderstandings on my part would be a big help!

I've heard that Hemisyntrachelus (at least the Piasanus species) could grow to about 16 ft. long and was something of an intermediary species between the bottlenose dolphin and orca whale...what an odd and cool combo! I'm assuming that it had a sort of dome-head with a long, strong jaw line with a shortened, and wide rostrum? Any artistic rendering would be helpful!
