Between May 17 and June 23, my daughter Jennifer and I drove 11,800 miles from Hendersonville NC to San Jose CA and back. It was an epic trip: we made 17 stops overnite to visit friends and family, 5 stops for sightseeing, and 8 overnite stops because we had used up the day.
