Saw one fly over hwy62 in morgan co tn between wartburg and sunbright in october 2017. Had no idea they could be so much white in their coloring.

Just saw something similar in Lawrenceburg, TN. That is why I was looking on the internet to identify it. Was going to take a picture and a lady stopped to see if I was OK as I had pulled off the side of the road and, of course, the bird flew away. I should say, soared. Was absolutely breathtaking.

Saw one of these today in LaFollette, Tennessee.

By the way..."our" Redtail Hawk was fully white, except for black trim on the edge of his wings...which seemed to be very closely followed by a parallel black marking. No other markings. I was watching with the naked eye from about 200 yards, elevated, on my deck and he was in the back pasture.

I just saw this in the pastures behind my Collegedale home 11/23/16. I watched him for quite some time. Now, I know why my 5-year old, very petite feline disappeared. Would that be accurate?

Where was this photo taken in TN? These Red-tails are not very common. I saw a partial albino RTHA out in California in the Central Valley.
