I knew Paul was getting the spirit on the last two days when he wanted to go out by himself, without a guide, to find and catch the fish all by himself. You can catch more fish with a guide because their eyes are simply phenomenal, but for most of us, it's much more fun to do it yourself.

Some of the flats here are so large that you could wade the same one all day and not cover it.
