December 4, 2004

Sunday night I went to hear the Christmas concert of the chorale I used to sing with. The church they sing in is more than halfway finished with a major renovation and restoration. I liked the brilliant blues of the ceiling. This church was orignally founded by German immigrants. It is on the "Senate side" of "The Hill." John Kennedy occassionally attended Mass here.

The concert was too long and a bit of a downer. The director prefers to be artsy so even his Christmas program is eclectic and not very Christmassy. Oh, right, "holiday-ish." Glad I left.

You have a good eye for color and patterns. I'm surprised you didn't use your wide angle here. It would have been interesting to see this with exact symmetry.
