July 4, 2004

Yes, very lame, especially when I could have been at the fireworks I was watching. Fireworks aren't very good on TV either. And then the camera angle changes every three seconds....I went down to the parade, but was turned back by the rain. So were many of the marchers, I read later. I just couldn't see going through all the trouble to get my camera and tripod and umbrella down to the Mall for a steamy (my lenses fog up as soon as I leave the house) possibly wet trip to struggle to find a place to sit(?) among tens of thousands of other people. Good weather, sure! But not in the rain and thunderstorms. Maybe next year.

Oh yeah, note the mess on the kitchen/dining room/living room counter and my leg. The leg is healing well, after 2 months and three days.

Are you sure you haven't been scratching at that leg?!!! LOL! Chilled out you, by the looks of things!

Hey your leg is looking good!!!! ;)

singing? I think it's more like they are CHEWING the notes! what - no popcorn! LOL!

Don't feel bad, shooting fireworks is HIGHLY overrated. Okay, so maybe I'm just saying that because mine didn't come out all that great LOL. Oh well, there's always next year for both of us : )

An interesting photo and a poor old leg.

Did the singing drive you nuts jypsee? There was more fluttering between notes than a coloratura soprano at the opera. I just kept yelling, "Sing it straight!!" "My country tih-ih-ihs of thee-ee-e-e." I've read about the latest craze in contemporary pop singing in America, but this was the first time I heard it. Ugh.

Sorry 'bout the rain! Good leggy/tv shot though! :)

No te gusta la foto de El Capitan, Jeanne? (Would you marry the "El" to the "de" in this one or not?)

..well, except for the singing, I don't like doing anything much, either, besides reading and photography; I watched that show tonight....ah, a national community moment right here on Pbase...cute legs!!

2 things I like in that mess!! Peanut better AND a fat camera lens! Nice view from your angle here, and that leg! ARGH! Bring long pants (trousers) to SF, man!!

Hey... I am totally with you. A quiet evening at home alone. As usual good job of catching a glimpse into your life.

Okay.. someone switched what newspapers we're supposed to be reading and didn't tell me? sheeeeeeeeeeeesh.
My fireworks shot didn't come about either, Mark, as it rained ALL day here too.

The laundry is leftovers from a week or two? ago. Folded, never got the bin back to the bedroom. I just hate doing anything that's not photography, singing or reading. :)
virginiacoastline05-Jul-2004 02:28
AND your leg is looking MUCH better =]
virginiacoastline05-Jul-2004 02:27
got a little laundry to fold, too . . so you likely were a bit productive by staying home . . .and if you need a fire work or two, I have some from the backyard =]
