May 3, 2004

On the left my old computer and monitor on the right my new monitor and computer. I miss the 19" monitor. But the web is finally faster thanks to a 3.0Ghz processor and 1GB of RAM. I set it up last night. Probably shouldn't have, by the time I removed the bandage on my knee it had healed into the wound tightly. It took a while to get it off with lots of hydrogen peroxide and gentle pulling. Ouch!! That's all I have to say. If you're curious here's a shot of my leg.

Jolly good luck with the new equipment.
Poor old leg.

Aha! The old duel computers shot. Can you keep the old monitor and hook it up with the other new computer as an add on?
And yor leg ... YUCK!!!

I've got a non-stick bandage on it now. We'll see how non-stick it is in a little while. :) Not really something to smile about. Also had anti-biotic ointment on it. But still got dry I guess. I was thinking about getting a one piece long pants and sleeves running outfit. I looked at one before, air blows right through them, but I wonder if the road does too!

Mark you shouldn't use gauze on that, it sticks to the wound and is painful to get off. Go to your pharmacy and get some metilon or whatever they're called over there, they are nonstick bandages. That happened to me once too and since then I never cycle in shorts :-(

Interesting photo!

Yes, road rash--cycling accident. I may like the LCD if it were bigger. The flat panel space-saving part is really nice. And eventually I'll move my old hard drive to the new PC. It will make a nice storage drive. Yes, must be careful not to let the gauze be absorbed by the healing process!

You'll really enjoy the upgrade to an LCD -- I know I have. Nice shots of your leg BTW ;-) I had a wound about 20 years ago that my father (I was 12 at the time) wrapped with gauze and when it came time to remove it, it had healed over the gauze. Oh my was THAT painful. Was that road rash on your leg? Looks like a motorcycle accident or some other type of vehicle that you can fall off of.
