The Kawai Grand Piano at the "Town and Gown Singers" rehearsal tonight. The whites are a bit overexposed, but it's the black keys that count. :)

Very neat, the rounded corners pop out at me!

I beg your pardon! I want equal opportunity here . . .reshoot to expose the white in a more favorable light or I'll be forced to crack your keys . . . or something like that =P

Great composition.

It's great how the black keys just sort of disapear to the right. Looks great with just the keys , nothing else!

Looking at the original, still in the camera, there was more detail in the shadows, must have lost it in all the compression? But I'm pleased with this. And thanks Jill

Actually upon further study this is unique from the usual piano key photograph..the high contrast does lead one's eye to the black keys. I like it for its individuality.

I sort of like the blown out whites here too... gives it an almost abstract feel. Piano keys is on my PAD to-do list.

Thank you(s). Handheld, too!! Ms. Steady hand. ;) I don't know. I'm not terribly bothered by the blown out highlights in the foreground, helps put the eye and the focus on the E-flat. This seems to have been an awfully contrasty image for the camera, as I look at it again.

Although I'm left-handed, I can only play the right hand and usually just one finger at a time. If the part moves in simple thirds or almost, I can play two fingers with a bit of practice.
