24th June

Teddy bear graveyard

This is at the local refuse site. Whenever the refuse workmen find a teddy bear thrown into one of the huge bins, they take them out and place them here. There are hundreds placed around the site. It's quite a moving sight knowing that all these cuddly toys were once loved and are now discarded - even more so when you consider the manly refuse workers fetching the toys out of all the rubbish because they think it's wrong for them to be thrown away.

R.I.P.

Oh, no!! How could anyone throw away something like that?! Both myself and Pat still have our most loved, tatty, moth eaten soft toys - I could never throw them away! This is a very emotive photo.

That's kind of sad, but touching.

It DOES have a battlefield look . .can these bears not be recycled . . it is an interesting mental image to think burly trash/salvage men can have sucha soft side . . .
