New Home 8-02-25

for an Ancient Rabbit

Weathered old concrete statues are definitely trending, especially in garden and outdoor decor. Their aged patina and timeworn charm evoke a sense of nostalgia and timelessness that fits beautifully with today’s aesthetic preferences.

Here’s why they’re in vogue:

🌿 Vintage Vibes: People are gravitating toward pieces that feel storied and authentic. A moss-covered statue or one with a faded finish adds character to a garden or patio.

🏡 Cottagecore & Rustic Decor: These styles celebrate imperfection and nature—weathered statues fit right in.

♻️ Sustainability Appeal: Repurposing old statues or buying vintage ones aligns with eco-conscious values.

***************

This bunny was "home aged" on our front porch.
Although most of our newly landscaped courtyard decor is new, I feel there is still a place for some of the older pieces. What was old is new again: in fashion and in decorating. Some things also never go out of style. In the background: https://pbase.com/britestar/image/175572863
Eclectic may be the best description of my personal tastes and how I design and decorate.
I like to mix whimsey with traditional. All tell a story.

A sentimental belonging, an old friend, worth to keep. BV.

Glad you kept the bunny, and it looks fine in its new home.
