This photo is probably the closest to the true color that my cell phone captured today. As soon I saw the color, I felt that Aspen Green would add a pop of soft color to all the warm wood tones in our redone kitchen that we're working on.
Back when we originally built our house, I had a completely different colored kitchen floor and countertops. So green wouldn't have looked at all good back in the old days. However, with the change in flooring and countertops, everything is different now. This soft green seems to fit our 2024 kitchen remodel just right. It will add a subtle pop of a cool tone to contrast with & thus enhance all of the warm woods in the room.
Aspen Green by Kohler is a soft, crisp silver-green color. Kind of a neutral in greens.
Kohler says: "It reflects the natural hues of mountain pines glistening in the morning sun. This versatile shade can serve as a colorful accent or a soothing neutral, adding a touch of nature-inspired tranquility to your kitchen or bathroom."
It is part of Kohler's new Heritage Collection which brings back some of their most popular colors from the past.
After thinking about this, I abruptly realized that Aspen Green is the color of the Kohler fixtures in our downstairs powder room!!! We even have fern wallpaper (similar to photo above but different) to match that toilet and sink. We custom built our house in the 80's. That was back about 35 years to when Aspen Green originally was a super-hot color for Kohler. As they say, 'What was once old is now new again!' Frankly, back in the late 80's, I would have never thought to put a green sink into the kitchen. Still, I obviously did like the color. And now, it's back in style! In fact, it actually is part of the very hottest color trend for 2024/2025 kitchens. Now, our downstairs powder room is back on trend. LOL.
As for this current green trend, trends don't last. But looks-that-you-like do last. I like the look that I'm now putting together in my kitchen redo. It's a combo of traditional and extremely modern. Although completely different, all is blending together fluidly. 100% modern is too stark for me. !00% traditional is old fashioned. But with the right elements put together, I'm getting a trendy 2024/25 kitchen that also keeps the traditional elements I still love. Now that things are coming together, I'm feeling pretty good about things.
