I decided to totally change our smaller bar sink that sits across the kitchen from the main sink. The current sink is a chocolate 14" sink of some kind of acrylic. It has looked good with the original kitchen decor, but now won't match anything new that is going in. Because use this sink mainly for filtered drinking water and minor tasks, it has never gotten a lot of use. So, I want a slightly larger bar sink this time. The Kohler Iron Tones 18" round sink seems to fit what I want. The color shown in the photo is the Aspen Green, but the color looks very dark in my photo because it was in a pull-out draw shaded by a countertop.

The Kohler "Iron Works" 18 in Round Bar Sink has several advantages over a square 14" bar sink. The advantages of this particular sink:

1) Versatility: The round shape is more versatile for different kitchen layouts and can be easier to fit into tight spaces
2) Easier Cleaning: The round shape has no corners, making it easier to clean and wipe down.
3) Space Efficiency: The round design takes up less counter space, which is ideal for smaller kitchens or bar areas.
4) Aesthetic Appeal: Round sinks have a classic, timeless look that can fit well with various kitchen styles.
5) Better Water Flow: Water tends to flow more smoothly in a round basin, reducing the chance of pooling in corners.
6) I prefer coated cast iron (or porcelain) material over acrylic material for all fixtures. Although our old bar sink is still in perfect condition and looks quite good, I've always preferred the richer feeling of a cast iron sink. I regret not originally getting cast iron for the bar area as we did for the main sink. Now, I can have both the same.
7) Increased size will allow more work option. Undermount won't take up more counterspace.
