Although I didn't know he was going to do it, my husband took the first step in starting the kitchen makeover we've been talking about for the past year. I woke up this morning to find the refrigerator moved out of its cove and the cabinet (that had been above it) https://pbase.com/britestar/image/174827954 is now totally gone.

It's not easy having to now work with the frig blocking the path between the oven and the sink. The old refrigerator will stay here until we can decide on a new one and eventually have it installed. I have no idea of when that will be... We're still in the "deciding stage" but do have things narrowed down to 3 possibilities.

Meanwhile, we'll also need to decide what might need to be done about the kitchen flooring. Although it wasn't before visible, my husband found water damage underneath where the old leaky frig had been standing. So, he feels we should replace the entire floor. I'd rather see a repair if a new frig can cover that spot up. We'll see.
