Until the temperature indoors suddenly dropped below 45°F, these hibiscuses were settled in their "winter home"; ie, our Solar Room. However, even with 3 space heaters running full blast, that now isn't warm enough to stop many from drooping from the cold.
So, we brought the very droopiest ones into the warmth of our foyer (about 70°F). The foyer has no direct light; so, they can't stay there for long. Unfortunately, the tiled plant area in front of the living room window (where they were eventually supposed to go) is in the middle of construction. Since my husband is doing all the construction work himself, that is VERY slow going and probably won't be done until sometime in December (or even January) at the very earliest. Meanwhile, these plants can't go very long without a direct light source. Although the cold won't get them now, they will probably still go into shock anyhow. This unexpected early November cold blast is causing a lot of problems. Meanwhile, most of my plants are still out in the Solar Room.
