Moved outdoors, this hibiscus is finally showing her true colors. Here she was https://pbase.com/britestar/image/172623799 back in "Springtime" May when I first got her. Pretty, but not the color that she was supposed to be. However, on the First Day of Meteorologist Summer, she is now blooming true.
"Like the nose of the proverbial reindeer, the flowers of 'Rudolph' are really big and really red! The single 7-9" flowers are bright red with pretty white markings in the eye, and they bloom in masses. The parents 'Saffron' and 'Dragon's Breath' combine vivid orange genes and dark red genes to give 'Rudolph' its glowing red pigments. Released from HVH in 2011. Hybridizer: C. Black"
