Change

of Seasons

It now really looks like late Fall.

“Former FDA chief Dr. Scott Gottlieb warned that the coronavirus pandemic is ‘about to explode’ across the United States as the country confirmed more than 10 million coronavirus cases, a bleak milestone just 10 days after reaching the 9 million mark amid a record surge in daily infections. ‘The challenge is this virus is distributed everywhere across the country right now,’ Gottlieb said. ‘We’re going to have a really significant epidemic wave across the entire nation and, unfortunately, it’s going to cause a lot of death and disease before we’re able to have this therapeutic counterattack, not just with the vaccine, but also with these therapeutic antibodies.’” CNBC News

How the man elected President in 2016 has handled COVID-19:
-----------------------------------------------------------
Business Insider: “Since February, Trump has claimed at least 38 times that the coronavirus is going away as case numbers and death tolls in the US continued to climb. In early October, Trump tested positive for the virus, as did other members of the president's family and a number of White House staffers. Days later after 200,000 people in the US had died after contracting COVID-19, he said "it is disappearing." Late October, Trump's White House put out a press release that listed "ending the COVID-19 pandemic" as an achievement.”

CBS News: “President Trump appeared to suggest during a November campaign rally in Florida that he may fire Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation's leading infectious disease expert, after the election. Mr. Trump made the comments as the U.S. is grappling with its most alarming outbreak of the coronavirus. Mr. Trump's remarks came as Fauci gave a stark warning about the pandemic and what Americans are facing heading into the winter months.”

New York Times “Throughout his campaign, he urged Americans not to fear the virus, asserting that the danger was being exaggerated by his political opponents. He defied the advice of health officials on precautions like wearing a mask, even after he himself was diagnosed with the virus.”

How the man elected President in 2020 plans to handle COVID-19:
---------------------------------------------------------------
Washington Post
“The coronavirus response has been foremost on Biden’s mind, and it is seen inside his campaign as a chief reason for his victory. He has previously said that even before the inauguration he would reach out to Anthony S. Fauci, the country’s top infectious-disease expert, asking him for advice. Biden also wants to quickly appoint a supply commander to oversee production and distribution of testing — and, when ready, vaccines — as well as materials such as masks and gowns. Biden is set up a coronavirus task force on Monday, in recognition that the global pandemic will be the primary issue that he must confront. The task force, which could begin meeting within days, will be co-chaired by former surgeon general Vivek H. Murthy and David Kessler, a former Food and Drug Administration commissioner.”

New York Times
“Mr. Biden’s victory comes as the nation is setting daily records for new infections and the health authorities have warned of a bleak winter. Masks were everywhere at his celebration.”
A new tone from the top. The contrast between Mr. Biden and President Trump was bracing and notable in almost every passage, as the president-elect invoked his own spirituality and shared credit for the moment with his supporters and the people around him. Priority one: The pandemic. Mr. Biden left no doubt that the coronavirus pandemic would be a priority for his administration in a way that it has not been under Mr. Trump. Mr. Trump defined the tone of his presidency at his inauguration, with a dark speech in which he notably did not reach out beyond his base of supporters. Mr. Biden aggressively moved in the other direction. “I pledge to be a president who seeks not to divide, but to unify”

CNBC
“The U.S. can expect increased Covid-19 testing, a national mask mandate and the possibility of nationwide lockdowns once President-elect Joe Biden takes office Jan. 20. Biden has also said he plans to repair the U.S. relationship with the World Health Organization. The transition team wasted no time, naming its own Covid-19 advisory board on Monday.”

Today was the last day in a week of unseasonable 75 degree weather. The temperature is expected to drop into the 40's tomorrow with a hard freeze again at night. The outdoor season REALLY will be over this time. Thus, more people will be moving indoors; which is not a good thing during an out-of-control pandemic. It's also not the best psychologically for those who are stuck in Stay-at-Home isolation during the pandemic.

Not intended to be "super photo". It is just what it is: a moment in time.
