I was sure this photo would not come out as anything but a dark, noisy blur... The lighting was far too low for a hand held, Bridge camera.
But I still tried. And was surprised. Although this is far from being frameable quality, it is a testament to the power of the mighty little FZ300 in even poor shooting conditions. The constant f/2.8 can sometimes work miracles and capture a shot that this genre of camera normally can't. I'm guessing that my Pro Body DSLR with a quality, fast lens would have gotten the capture better. However, the little Bridge camera is much easier to grab when something unexpected pops up.
In this case, it meant "some shot"; rather than "no shot". I haven't seen the deer in our backyard a long time. I now have a Memory Photo.
