8:42 AM. The last image of the morning, as I was walking across the south tufa field back to the car. 1/500 sec, f/11. Focus manually set at ~6 meters. Honestly, I shot this about 10 different times, trying to get the focus and composition with the shadow just right. It's not easy when you're holding the camera at arm's length! The sunrise shoot lasted only 1.5 hours, but I was exhausted and very ready for a good rest. I find that photography is one of the most physically and mentally taxing activities I do, it is a lot of work. 1/500 sec, f/11.
