2:09 PM. Another day at Mono Lake - very different conditions. Cold. Windy. Waves lapping at the shore. I was looking at shooting this afternoon and evening but the clouds over the Sierras threatened to keep the area in shadow all evening. I set up this shot to capture the bleakness of the afternoon, and timed the exposure with the breaking of the wave on the shore. 1/500 sec, f/6.7. With this light, any photography this afternoon and evening was going to be a challenge.
