7:20 AM

7:20 AM. As the pre-dawn light matured, the clouds to the north and west caught the first rays. The light was quickly becoming more harsh. This is a great time of morning to catch the reflection of the sunrise colors in the lake, with some foreground tufas accenting the image. This was taken looking toward the north, about 5 minutes after the previous image. 1.5 sec at F22. Longer exposure desired to blur the water. Bracketed exposures combined to hold dynamic range.

other sizes: small medium original auto

Where have you taken this photo, on moon or on mars? Anyway, it's out of this world. Absolutly fabulous.
