5:38 PM

5:38 PM. Sunset colors were now appearing on the clouds overhead, making the sky appear very dramatic and rich. I trucked back to the location of the 5:26 PM photo and recomposed to include the interesting clouds. Two bracketed photos were combined in this image to hold the very wide dynamic range at this time. 1/180 sec, f/6.7.

This is my favourite image of the gallery, Brian. I think this is the most perfect of your compositions here, and it relies so strongly on the moment, which is provided by the cloud formation. The cradling foreground rocks balance beautifully with the distant cloud providing a perfect frame for the 'shipwrecked rocks' subject whilst creating a wonderful sense of space and distance. The arrangement of shapes could not be better.
