American Alligator

You can't see it but this 12 foot plus gator has claimed the area under nesting little blue herons, roseate spoonbills and snowy egrets. He will just wait for a chick to fall out of the nest.

Man, I would have used a much longer lens. Twelve foot gator could fit two of me in there!
