Gayle was off to an early start this morning so Go Home and I were off to the spillway to see what we might see. It was 32 degrees and a beautiful day and the spillway was full of birds of all kinds celebrating it. I came across the huge flock of pelicans. Most were mixed with egrets herons and various ibis. This one was the first to fly after I had used Buz's tactic to walk up on them. It is a little hard to walk on rough terrain holding a camera and tripod in front of you face but it worked.
