socks portrait_IMG_3603 copy.jpg

home

Socks is the largest of the babies and an absolute beautiful kitty with long, thick coat. Her long white whiskers above her eyes highlight her gorgeous blue eyes. Her white markings are perfection. Her front feet look like they were dipped in white paint to her ankles while the back paws and legs are completely white with a large black patch on the joint of her back right leg. Since they are only 5 wks., we don't know their gender at this point, so I refer to all of them as "she" until otherwise defined. This litter had had no contact with humans and being moved inside was very traumatic to them, but having Momma Kitty with them eased the stress greatly. They all hid for days after we brought them in, but, with patience and help from the feral Cat Forum, I was told the correct way to approach them to ease their fear and it has worked so far.

Socks was the first to finally allow me to touch and hold her, although she had a ferocious hiss until she overcame her fear of me. Definitely the alpha kitty of the litter and as you will see in the following photos, quite a mischieveous little fur ball that gets into everything. She will make some lucky family a wonderful pet. I will be sad to have to give up Socks and her litter mates.
