Last, but not least is precious Misty, with those killer mottled blue eyes. She was the second of the 3 littermates to accept me. She would cautiously look at me from a safe distance as I talked softly to Momma Kitty, stroking and loving on her. Over time, Misty could see that she needn't be threatened by me if Momma Kitty wasn't. She made the first ovature to slowly, cautiously walk up to me as I sat on the floor next to Momma Kitty. I committed the cardinal "No, No" sin of approaching feral kitties by extending my hand toward her face, which is very threatening to them, yet she made no attempt to retreat and allowed me to stroke her back and, eventually, her cheeks, which she loved. Then, she allowed me to hold her by cupping her in my hands close to me. She relaxed and seemed to find my stroking and petting very pleasant and made no attempt to be released. And.....needless to say, she won my heart at that moment. She is a very lovey, cuddly charmer, but, don't be deceived by that angelic, sweet face. Misty can have Sock screaming "I Give, I Give" in their daily wrestling matches.

And, (drum roll, please) Misty has the honor of being the first and only, at this point, to have completed climbing to the top of the palm tree in their Kitty Suite my husband's office), which is documented by a series of photos to follow in this gallery of Misty's accomplishment. And, did I say how smart she is? She is the first to figure out how to play with the ball disc and taught the other kitties how to push the ball around the disc. Socks and Misty love playing together with the ball disc. All in all, she is a beautiful, inquisitive, smart little baby.
