'Alani

Powerline Road

The melicope shows the characteristic flower buds and 4-lobed fruit at the bases of the leaf stems. This odd species has a vining habit, and does not (always?) have the citrus aroma associated with 'alani. I've only found this species in four kipukas on the saddle, with just 1-3 plants in each. I'm not sure which species it is.
