Most cyrtandra on the Saddle start out as a very distinctive looking low mat or bush of small-leaved plants. They grow in the same area as cyrtandra platyphylla, cyrtandra lysiosepala and at least one other large-leaved species (menziesii?). I initially guessed that they're a young version of cyrtandra platyphylla or its hybrids, but I don't remember seeing so many fuzzy small-leaved plants along Stainback Highway where cyrtandra (including platyphylla) are even more common. This needs more investigation...
